About the Course
A 2-day course for NGO and charity staff who want to learn a professional approach to discovering and investigating safeguarding risks. Taught by a professional investigator, participants will learn a unique and proven approach to improving organisational investigations. Highly interactive, participants will participate in exercises, a live simulation and have a follow-up session with the facilitators after completing the course.
This course develops the following competencies:
1. Delivering results
professional analysis of information and data; taking accountable decisions to progress safeguarding casework, using skills to help organisation deliver its mission
2. Demonstrating leadership
motivating others to share knowledge; making decisions, developing collaborative working across different teams, influencing others to deliver shared goals

contribution to ‘bigger picture’, engaging in organisational/cultural change, setting a vision and encouraging others to engage with it

collaborative working while under pressure, maintaining professionalism when faced with challenging circumstances.
Who should attend?
Mid-to-senior level staff who are, or may be, responsible for safeguarding and/or are designated to investigate allegations of staff misconduct within their organisations. No previous experience with investigations is required.
