This is the ISL Staff Portal
Welcome to the International School of Lausanne's (ISL) Foundation Safeguarding course. This course is mandatory for all teaching staff, auxiliary and support staff and anyone else who has been asked to complete the course, for example, volunteers or contractors who will be working directly with students.
The learning you will take away from this course will directly help prevent the abuse of children. It's important that you complete the course and remember to take notes as you progress through the content.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
-
Explain what safeguarding is, why it is important, and your individual responsibilities in protecting students from harm.
-
Identify appropriate and inappropriate behaviour, including maintaining professional boundaries and understanding ISL’s policies and expectations.
-
Recognise potential signs and indicators of harm or abuse, and understand when safeguarding concerns may exist.
-
Demonstrate how to respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, including how to receive a disclosure and report concerns in line with ISL procedures.
This course will take 1 hour to complete.
