How is an online Security Management Training different from an in-person training?
While the experience of a security management course online and in-person are different, the outcomes are the same. Safer Edge has trained thousands of humanitarian and development professionals on security courses since 2016. Our Learning and Development team worked hard to retain all required learning objective while making the course more accessible and inclusive.
What do you mean by e-Learning?
E-Learning is a specific type of online learning where participants are able to engage with the course through quizzes, activities, scenarios, and a range of media. E-learning is different from remote training (such as through Skype or Zoom) and online videos or slides.

Yes! Using our iOS and Android apps, participants can download the training modules when they have access to internet, complete it offline and their progress will automatically sync when they reconnect to the internet.
Can different staff in the same organisation take different types of online security management courses?

Why Security Management E-Learning?
COVID-19 has provided the safety and security sector with the opportunity to re-think how we train people who work in some of the most difficult environments in the world.
For too long, traditional security management courses have been out-of-step with the humanitarian and development sector and not reflective of our values. We believe that online Security Management Training provides organisations with a tremendous opportunity to take steps toward equitable security while continuing to fulfil their duty of care.
Traditional, in-person security courses are expensive, require time out of work, travel costs, are only available to specific staff at certain times. This has meant that most organisations are providing a gold standard service to a handful of employees while those who face the sharpest end of risk receive little-to-no training or training not contextualised to their location or language.
Our Security Management E-Learning enables organisations to provide high-standard training to all of their employees no matter where they are located and to do it affordably.
