FAQs

Why does carbon reduction matter?

Humanitarian and development organisations can make a profound contribution to carbon reduction by ensuring that everyone in our organisations understands its importance and their contribution. This course helps staff understand both how they can meet donor requirements in their work as well as contribute personally to carbon reduction.

What do you mean by e-Learning?

E-Learning is a specific type of online learning where participants are able to engage with the course through quizzes, activities, scenarios, and a range of media. E-learning is different from remote training (such as through Skype or Zoom) and online videos or slides.

FAQs

How long do I have to complete the course?

We realise that different people learn at different speeds and each of us will have different circumstances which influence how quickly we can complete the course. We encourage everyone to the course within a month. However, each course purchased will remain on Safer Edge Learn for a year.

I have a very poor internet connection. Can I still take Achieving Carbon Reduction online?

Yes! Using our iOS and Android apps, participants can download the training modules when they have access to internet, complete it offline and their progress will automatically sync when they reconnect to the internet.

Our organisation would like to enrol a large number of staff. How do we do that?

If your organisation has 5, or more, people you wish to register for this course, we can easily register them in bulk. We offer discounts for all groups over 5. Contact Safer Edge directly at support@saferedge.com to register or learn more.

What people are saying about our other courses

Why Climate Change E-Learning?

COVID-19 has provided the risk management sector to tackle hidden risks, like climate change, and the opportunity to re-think how we train people who work in some of the most difficult environments in the world.

For too long, traditional risk management courses have been out-of-step with the humanitarian and development sector and not reflective of our values. We believe that online training provides organisations with a tremendous opportunity to take steps toward equitable risk managementwhile continuing to fulfil their duty of care.

Traditional, in-person courses are expensive, require time out of work, travel costs, are only available to specific staff at certain times.  This has meant that most organisations are providing a gold standard service to a handful of employees while those who face the sharpest end of risk receive little-to-no training or training not contextualised to their location or language.

Our e-learning enables organisations to provide high-standard training to all of their employees no matter where they are located and to do it affordably.
